I have only read part of your article, but I can already understand the siibling-asking-parent-for-money scenario. When my sister was sick, and my EX-brother-in-law was unemployed (so NO child support money being sent), I used to get on the phone and cry 😢 and ask my father to take my sister some money. She refused to accept any help from her "baby sister." I would call my father and ask him to loan my oldest sister money to get her prescriptions filled and get adequate groceries!
